Jerry Krueger

Rev. Jerry Krueger, the pastor of Boardman UMC, is a Texas native who received a BA in Political Science/Social Science and History from Southwestern University, a United Methodist affiliated university located in Georgetown, Texas. Rev. Krueger is the father of three adult sons, two of whom live in Texas with their families, and one who lives in Denver, CO with his family.

After graduating from Methodist Theological School in Ohio with a Master of Divinity degree, Rev. Krueger returned to Texas where he was an Ordained Elder in Full Connection in the Northwest Texas Annual Conference and served churches in Ackerly, Midland, Albany/Moran, and Lubbock Texas. 

Rev. Krueger believes that the Church should model Christ, and we as Christ’s followers should live out and practice loving God and neighbor daily. Rev. Krueger is passionate about preaching, teaching, Bible Study, animals and sharing the Good News of Christ to those he meets.

Office Manager/Financial Officer

Heidi Peditto

Heidi was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and has worked full time as an administrative assistant/secretary in various corporate environments for over 20 years in the Philadelphia area, and also worked as church secretary at Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana, Ohio for six years after moving to Boardman, Ohio in 2014. 

In her free time, Heidi enjoys volunteering for Greyhound Adoption of Ohio, and visiting a local nursing home and assisted living facility doing therapy dog visits with Rydell and Rose, her two retired racing Greyhounds. Heidi also continues her other love and passion – horses – by riding at a local horse farm. She was blessed to have owned an off-the-track Thoroughbred for 21 years. Heidi also has a 22 year old cockatoo named Sophie.



Julie Skelly

Julie Skelly was born and raised here in the Youngstown area. She is a graduate of Girard High School and also earned an Associate degree in Health and Human Services from Youngstown State University. She and her husband, Steve, along with their daughter Madison and two dogs, Loki and Luna, reside in Austintown, Ohio.

Julie has worked as a part-time church secretary for the last 10 years at Grace Church of the Nazarene while also raising her daughter. She is currently pursuing her passion in photography by running her own small business that she began in 2019.

When not working in the office here or behind her camera lens, she is usually cheering her daughter on as she competes. Madison is a pole vaulter for the YSU Track & Field team.


Choir Director

Bill Ambert

William Ambert is a native and current resident of Hubbard, Ohio and is also a graduate of Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. Mr. Ambert lived and worked in NYC for several years as a voice teacher and performer of early music and major choral works with several performing groups in and around the tristate area. Currently he teaches in the Music School at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. William is also the Director of Music at Boardman United Methodist Church, Cantor at St. Columba Cathedral and soloist at Congregation Rodef Sholom Synagogue, all in Youngstown.

Mr. Ambert has appeared as soloist with several orchestras such as, The Youngstown Symphony, The Ashtabula Symphony, The Greenville Symphony, The Packard Band, YSU Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, The Orchestra of the Academy on the Oval in Cleveland, and the New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra in New Jersey. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and has served as chapter vice president.

Organist / Musical Arts

Sean Baran

Sean Baran is a pianist and organist based in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music performance. In addition to his endeavors as the organist at Boardman United Methodist Church, Sean is a passionate piano pedagogue. He is currently a resident artist at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland, PA where he runs the piano program for the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. Sean currently serves as the Secretary of Youngstown Music Teachers’ Association, Vice President of Student Activities of Ohio Music Teachers Association Middle East District, and District 1 Junior Counselor for the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs. Sean is also a member of the American Guild of Organists and has served on the executive committee of the Youngstown Chapter.

Sean strives to merge performance with community engagement. Recent concerts organized by Sean have brought together multiple church choirs to raise money for the American Guild of Organists and the Boardman High School Choirs. Performances of holiday piano music at the Mill Creek Metroparks Fellows Riverside Gardens has allowed his music to be heard by more casual audiences. Sean served as the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra’s ensemble keyboardist during their 2018/2019 Stained-Glass and Classics series. In addition to his musical endeavors, Sean is an advocate for Youngstown and Mill Creek Park as well as an amateur photographer. He currently is a member of the Mill Creek Metroparks’ Environmental Advisory Committee.
