Church Library

Mary Lou Henneman

A well-maintained library for people of all ages is located on the first floor of the church.  Books, audio and video tapes, and periodical literature may be checked out for personal use at home.

(revised 8-21-2014)

“Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”

All books and materials are placed in the church library for the enrichment and further spiritual development of the congregation. They are to be chosen to relate to our Church’s teaching and its Mission to develop responsible Christians.

Selection will be made to support the church’s programs and in special areas of emphasis and need. Materials will be chosen with all congregation members in mind, for all age groups, and all levels of Christian maturity. Informational titles are to be grounded in sound scholarship and theology. All materials will be consistent with United Methodist theology and social principles as found in the BOOK OF DISCIPLINE.

The library exists to serve the entire congregation, including children, teens and adults. Materials will be available to church members and B.U.M.P. families.

Books and other materials can be donated to the library. However, the librarian has the right to select which materials will be included in the library collection based on the following criteria: Is the material current? Is the item a duplicate copy? Is the material in good physical condition? Is there a need for the particular materials in the collection? If the materials cannot be used in the church library, they will be given to others who will be able to use them.

We meet on the second Tuesday of most months at 10:00 a.m. in the church library.  Contact Mary Lou Henneman for more information at
