**********IMPORTANT**********

A $200.00 deposit is required for non-members.  This deposit will be returned to the issuer immediately after an inspection of the church premises.  It is expected the church be left in the same condition as it was found. .  (*see page 2 bottom right.)

Members Only: If the custodial fee is waived by Trustee’s there will be a $50.00 security deposit required and returned upon inspection of building/room use.  (*see page 2 bottom right.)

Reminder:  All fees & deposits are to be paid 2 wks in advance to church office or your rental date will be cancelled!

If no custodian is requested and Trustees approve waiver of a custodian present, it will be the Scouts’ responsibility to set up and tear down tables and chairs, and to clean up including sweeping floors, empty trash, make sure bathrooms are left clean, and to lock up and secure the church after use.  You will be responsible for obtaining church keys from your Scout Leader.

RULES, REGULATIONS AND FEES GOVERNING THE USE OF

BOARDMAN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

SEPTEMBER 2016

 

The facilities of Boardman United Methodist Church are available to members, friends, and non-profit organizations within the community to further the church’s outreach ministry to the community.  The following guidelines are meant to regulate the use of church facilities.  Certain fees may apply to offset costs.

  1. Requests for the use of the church building, equipment or facilities must be applied for in writing two (2) weeks before the planned function. (See also item #10)  An application form with available days and hour is attached. 
  2. It is expected that all facilities be treated with the utmost respect.  All rooms used are to be cleaned after use and left in the condition in which you found them.
  3. Adult supervision must be present with all youth organizations.
  4. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the building or on the grounds.  No smoking in any area of the church building.
  5. The Sanctuary and the Chapel shall be used for religious purposes or otherwise with approval by the Trustee’s Committee (see #11).
  6. No church equipment is to be removed from the building without permission from the trustees and signed out in the church office.  Material shall be returned promptly and signed back in the church office.
  7. Activity must be limited to the area assigned and groups must not interfere with other groups meeting in the building at the same time.
  8. No temporary materials may be nailed, glued, tied or otherwise affixed to walls, ceilings or floors of the building if their subsequent removal will mar or in any way deface the surface to which attached.
  9. The facilities are usually not available for profit making groups, whether they be companies or privately conducted.  This includes where a fee is charged, or a contribution is requested, when that fee is retained by the person requesting use of the facilities.  Use under such circumstances will only be approved by the Board of Trustees upon direction of the Minister and the Administrative Board.  This request must be made at least 6 weeks prior to the event.
  10. All fees and deposits must be paid 2 weeks in advance to the church secretary, or the date of rental will be cancelled.
  11. All rentals are subject to approval by the Trustees and at the discretion of the pastor in charge.
  12. After hour use or weekend/holiday use of the church facility is also subject to the availability of the church custodian.
